Guardian Angel ~ A Tribute to Chester Bennington

Description

So there is probably some explanation needed for my new (and probably last for a while)
illustration.

Last Thursday, 20th of July, I wanted to start a new piece illustrating a young and beautiful teenage woman with her guardian angel, being young, fresh and fertile she believes firm in the luck this guardian angel has brought her, probably saving her from an accident.

Guardian angels are beings that take host in a person's souls, protecting it from harm in the physical realm while also providing a helping hand in the emotional spectrum when necessary on the person. That said, it is a parasite and it will probably die soon after its host dies, having changed to fit the person completely.

This sparked my interest and I wanted to start when the news reached that the lead singer of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington had died as the cause of suicide.
I was kinda devastated as Linkin Park always meant so much to me, just like the guardian angel did for the young woman. I couldn't let this pass unnoticed.

This pieces illustrates a man, a man that died by his own means. (I meant to portray Chester but it doesn't look like him perfectly.) The soul of the man has broken and shattered into a lesser version of itself while the wings of his souls are slowly withering, preparing for one last journey to the land of souls. The guardian angel stands there mourning the person, knowing that his own end will be soon inevitable near. It is a sad moment.

The quotes are obviouly from the Linkin Park songs 'In the End' and 'One More Light'

As I'd already said you, good job with this piece.
